A lot is uncertain and life is short.
With word of fuel price surges causing airlines to cancel flights or hike up prices, while airlines that stopover in the Middle East are unethically (in my opinion) slashing fare costs to incentivise transits through countries the FCDO still advises against travel to, there’s quite a flurry of question marks around the short-term future of travel (!)
I’ve personally responded by booking an F - it trip abroad. You know, that trip that's a little bit expensive but you’ve been dreaming of forever. That place where if you could only travel once for the next two years you’d want to go there. So here I am, now looking forward to experiencing Vancouver, Fiji, Samoa, Auckland, Sydney & Istanbul (in that order and looping anti-clockwise around the world for the nerds amongst us!) The flights average out at £285 per leg and I've gotten great insight from Ajala’s in our community via Instagram. Booking note: November is a really pleasant time to visit Taiwan as it starts to cool down from its hot humid summer, while offering us in the UK a warm break from the winter. If you can get out of the city, I've recently discovered that hot springs and gorgeous mountains await!

Booking note: Okay so the flight is actually to Milan! But what we must appreciate about Milan’s cheap flights is that this city puts you in easy access to so much beauty. In less than 90 mins by train you can be in Lugano, Switzerland, Lake Como and even Florence.
