This flight drops you off in the south of Vietnam at the tail end of the rainy season. You can travel to the north from here or use it as a springboard for a multi-country trip by venturing into Cambodia or elsewhere in SE Asia (taking advantage of cheap and short continental flights!)

This takes you to the North of the country and arguably gives you a more authentic and historic experience of Vietnamese culture right at the beginning of the tourist season. Of course, from here you can still travel throughout Vietnam or detour out.
